In 2021, we moved from downtown St. Cloud to Sauk Rapids. We were then able to add a full coffee shop with sandwiches, soups, salads, and baked goods.
We also believe in community. We believe there’s strength in diversity. We host a different event each month where we partner with other local businesses or artists. As Paul Wellstone once said "we all do better when we all do better."

We began as an occasional store out of a small garage filled with vintage finds, repurposed furniture and home décor, found items as well as artisan-made and handcrafted goods. Along the way we discovered that home décor and goods are the perfect ingredients to make a house a home and bring a space from basic to cozy and sophisticated.
We've gained both local and national recognition. In 2017, we earned the St. Cloud Zonta Christmas House award for Best Decorator. In 2018, we were named a Retail Star for Creative Excellence by Home Accents Today. This award goes to only 50 home décor retail businesses in the entire country. In 2019, we received the Heart Of Downtown Award from the St. Cloud Downtown Council. We were named a Retail Star for Creative Excellence by Home Accents Today again in 2021. We were voted the 2021/2022 Best Of The Best of Central Minnesota for both Home Goods/Decor AND Specialty Shops. We were voted by you, again, for Best Of The Best of Central Minnesota Home Goods/Decor in 2022/2023 and again in 2023/2024. Stop in and see what all the buzz is about.
One of the frequently asked questions that we get from our customers is how the name, “Copper Pony” came to be. I wish I could say it’s because I once owned a beautiful, copper-colored pony as a child named Glitter. But the truth is, I’ve always loved horses and I’ve always wanted to have one. As a child (and adult), birthdays came and went without a live pony present. So when it came time to give my dream business a name, it had to be something to do with horses. Pintos are my favorite, but “Painted Pony” just didn’t sound right. While most great inventions often come about as accidents you could say the same thing about us. Copper Pony was a fun play on words to “copper penny” and it was settled, that was to be the name. There you have it, friends, our perfectly imperfect story! #themoreyouknow
